A green dot beside a username or on a profile page indicates that the member has been active on OstoDate within the past few hours. It provides only a general indication of recent activity and does not necessarily mean that the member is currently online or available to respond.
We deliberately provide a rough indication rather than publishing exact login and logout times. This helps protect members’ privacy by avoiding the disclosure of detailed information about when individuals use the service or their daily routines and removes any pressure to reply.
Members may also choose to display aspects of their activity on their profile timeline. Each member controls what is shared and can change these options through their privacy settings.
